Chapter 25 Filming Completed
Chapter 25 Filming Completed
The filming was completed two days ahead of schedule.
The final action scenes went very smoothly thanks to the excellent teamwork between Chen Xun and Tyson, as well as Chen Xun's continuous refinement of the action details.
The director watched the smooth and intense fight scenes on the monitor, and repeatedly showed a satisfied expression.
To celebrate the early completion of filming, the production team held a simple cocktail party in an open area on set.
Several long tables were set up, and pizzas, grilled ribs, various salads, and cases of beer and soft drinks were laid out.
Loud rock music was playing from the stereo.
Not only film crews, but also several nearby film crews that were still working on their projects were attracted by the excitement after they finished their work and came over to join in the fun and get some food and drinks.
In an instant, this industrial area, usually filled with the roar of machines and the shouts of directors, became like a college party scene.
Lighting technician, production assistant, actor, director...
Everyone temporarily set aside their identities, grabbed beers, and gathered in small groups to chat.
Chen Xun grabbed a bottle of beer and found a relatively quiet corner to stand in.
He's not very good at these purely social occasions.
Mike and Tyson saw him, came over and clinked glasses with him.
"Hey, action star, well done!"
Tyson patted him hard on the back: "Next time a movie needs a tough Asian face, I'll definitely recommend you."
Mike nodded, "You've got potential, keep in touch!"
Chen Xun chatted with them for a few minutes and thanked them for their guidance.
When Mike was discussing action design, his clear thinking caused a gray attribute ball to fall from his hand.

At this moment, the director, holding a beer bottle, jumped onto an empty equipment box, tapped the bottle with a spoon, and attracted everyone's attention.
"Quiet down, guys!"
He called out, a smile on his face, "Filming is finished ahead of schedule! Thank you everyone for your hard work! Especially..."
His gaze swept across the crowd and landed on Chen Xun:
"Our Chen!"
"Honestly, I was initially a little worried about casting an Asian actor in this action role, but Chen proved me wrong with his professionalism and skill! His action scenes greatly enhanced the film! Respect to Chen!"
"Respectfully submitted!"
A chorus of agreement and whistles erupted from the crowd, and many people raised their glasses in Chen Xun's direction.
Chen Xun was a little surprised and didn't expect the director to publicly thank him by name.
He raised his beer bottle in a gesture, as if in response.
He could feel many eyes on him, some curious, some approving, and perhaps even a hint of barely perceptible jealousy.
He noticed that when the director sincerely thanked him, a green attribute ball fell from his feet:

It feels great to be publicly recognized like this!
The crowd resumed its noisy activity.
Just as Chen Xun was about to grab some more food, he caught a glimpse of a familiar figure appearing at the edge of the party.
It's Kristen Stewart.
She seemed to have just finished filming at the neighboring film set.
Still dressed in simple casual clothes, he took a can of soda and leaned against a prop vehicle far away from the crowd.
With his head down, his fingers unconsciously swiping across his phone screen, he seemed completely out of place amidst the surrounding noise.
Chen Xun had no intention of striking up a conversation.
He took a slice of pizza and continued in his corner.
A little while later, he went to the beverage section to get another bottle of water, and Christine was there too, seemingly rummaging through the ice bucket for a sugar-free Coke.
Chen Xun grabbed a bottle of water and prepared to leave.
Christine looked up and saw him.
She seemed to recognize it for a moment, then spoke, her voice still flat and monotone:
"Hey, Mr. Vending Machine."
Chen Xun was stunned for a moment before realizing that someone was calling him.
"Oh, it's you! How does the Skittles taste?"
"Too sweet!"
Christine pursed her lips, took a can of Coke from the ice bucket, uncorked it, and took a sip.
She glanced at Chen Xun, then at the still bustling crowd in the distance, and suddenly asked:
"You're that Asian actor they were talking about earlier, the one who's really good at fighting?"
"I guess so, just trying to make a living!" Chen Xun replied.
"He doesn't look like someone who can fight!"
Christine gave him a quick once-over, her tone direct.
"Don't judge a book by its cover!"
Chen Xun shrugged.
Christine seemed to smile slightly.
"Too!"
She paused, as if she had nothing more to say, nodded casually at him, then took her cola and went back to her quiet corner to continue looking at her phone.
The conversation ended in less than a minute.
Chen Xun looked at her back and thought that the girl was indeed similar to the one on the screen. She was a bit cool and aloof, but not pretentious.
He took the water back to his original spot and continued to observe the various people at the party.
A gray attribute ball fell onto a young actor who was desperately trying to sell himself to a casting director:

A gray attribute orb also fell from the head of a lighting technician who had drunk too much and started telling jokes loudly.

They're just scraps, but something's better than nothing!
The party lasted until late at night before gradually dispersing.
Leaving the noise of the party behind, Chen Xun walked along the empty streets of the industrial area toward the motel.
The night breeze carried a coolness, dispelling the lingering smell of beer and the noise.
Because several film crews are stationed in this area, the security is relatively good, and the streetlights are fairly bright, so he wasn't worried.
As I was walking, a deep, rumbling engine sound came from behind me, growing louder as it approached.
A red Porsche sports car slowed down and then stopped next to him.
The passenger-side window slowly rolled down.
Kristen Stewart was in the car.
She held the steering wheel with one hand, her face looking somewhat pale under the streetlights, her eyes unfocused.
Chen Xun noticed that she didn't smell strongly of alcohol, but her overall condition was clearly off. It didn't seem like she had drunk too much; it was more like she had eaten something else or was extremely tired, plus the effects of a little alcohol.
"Hey……"
Her voice was a little unsteady as she recognized Chen Xun: "That Asian guy with the walking style."
Chen Xun stopped, somewhat surprised: "Miss Stewart? Are you alright?"
He glanced at the sports car: "Are you sure you can drive?"
Christine shook her head, trying to clear her head: "I didn't drink much, I'm just a little dizzy, and it's impossible to get a taxi in this godforsaken place."
She rubbed her temples, her tone irritated:
"Do you know how to get to Beverly Hills?"
Chen Xun's heart skipped a beat.
The road from this industrial area to Beverly Hills is complicated, and given her current condition, she's 100% guaranteed to have an accident.
He looked around; the streets were deserted in the dead of night.
You can't drive like that.
Chen Xun's tone turned serious: "It's too dangerous!"
"Then what should we do? Sleep in the car?"
Christine slumped onto the steering wheel in a somewhat resigned manner, and the horn was accidentally pressed, the piercing sound echoing through the night sky.
Chen Xun sighed.
He couldn't just walk away like that; if something really happened, he wouldn't be able to live with himself.
Which hotel are you staying at? I'll take you back.
He paused, then added, "I'm driving!"
Christine looked up at him, squinting as if trying to determine whether he was trustworthy.
Do you have a driver's license?
"have!"
Chen Xun got his driver's license when he was on an F1 visa test. Although he doesn't drive often, he has no problem with basic operations.
Christine stared at him for a few seconds, then, as if exhausted, unbuckled her seatbelt and shakily pushed open the car door.
"Alright... you're the driver now!"
She staggered from the driver's seat to the passenger seat.
