Chapter 1138 - 1134: Revisiting Old Haunts, Reliving Former Dreams (Part 3)
"Oh, I get it, you’re looking for ’that’, right?"What "this" and "that" are you talking about?
Sophie gave him a glare, "I want you to apologize to me now, and promise me you’ll try to control yourself more in the future, and not take your anger out on me..."
"Ha." Asher Land chuckled lightly, "Am I going to frequently get angry at you now?"
It seems like the one who’s been temperamental lately is her.
Sophie thought about it and realized it was indeed the case, but she didn’t know why hearing him promise that to their son made her feel kind of jealous.
Eventually, under Sophie’s persistent demands, Asher Land gave her what he called a promise.
The day was fulfilling; Asher had already skillfully set up the tent. There was only one tent, meaning the three of them would sleep together tonight, so he’d better not get any ideas.
Asher seemed to have read her mind, quietly leaned close to her ear, and spoke in a suggestive tone, "Don’t worry, once our son is asleep, we can continue. I’ll make sure you relive the dream from five years ago."
"Not a good idea." Sophie shoved him away, "One tent is too cramped. You should set up another; I’ll sleep with our son."
"Choosing your son over your husband? Hmm?" Whenever he said this, it meant he was jealous. If he was jealous...
"Fine, let’s stick together..." Sophie relented and turned to enter the tent, deciding to accompany their son.
Alexander lay in bed, a small head peeking out, and when he saw Sophie come in, he instantly flashed a big smile.
Sophie lay down beside Alexander, pulling him closer into her arms, "By the way, Alexander, let your dad sleep next to you later, okay?"
"Why?" Alexander was a bit puzzled, "Dad loves to sleep with you, Mom. I don’t want to sleep between you two, otherwise Dad will be upset."
"He won’t. Didn’t he promise you he wouldn’t lose his temper in front of you anymore..."
"He just said he’d try, not that he wouldn’t get mad at me at all..."
"..."
Asher’s tall figure stood outside the tent, listening to the conversation inside, finding it amusing for no particular reason.
After a short while, he walked into the tent.
Sophie held the blanket, eyeing him warily, as if he were a fierce, hungry beast, afraid he’d pounce and devour her.
Asher didn’t say much, only lying down beside Alexander, finally allowing Sophie to breathe a sigh of relief. It wasn’t an overreaction on her part, she simply couldn’t trust Asher completely.
"Dad, let’s swap places. I think you should sleep with Mom," Alexander said ’considerately’.
Sophie stiffened; did Alexander have to be so ’thoughtful’?
"Asher Land, you, you sleep over there. I’m sleeping with our son..."
Asher didn’t argue, just whispered a few words into Alexander’s ear, then closed his deep, dark eyes.
So, was he sleeping now?
Sophie breathed a long sigh of relief.
"Alexander, goodnight." She whispered softly into Alexander’s ear and closed her eyes.
Seeing her begin to doze off, Alexander turned his head and exchanged a glance with Asher, who contentedly ruffled his son’s hair.
