Chapter 844 - 428: World Tree Candy

Chapter 844 - 428: World Tree Candy

Rare Candy, in the game it’s described as a candy full of energy, which raises a Pokemon’s level by one when given to it.

If something like that existed in the real world, eating a hundred in a row, wouldn’t it turn a Pokemon into one at max level straight away?

If given to Eevees, you could have nine level 100 max-level Eevees, becoming unbeatable worldwide.

With this thought, Naoki felt a stirring inside and immediately decided to give it a try.

Although he didn’t know how to make candy, the cookbook he had bought earlier in town had some instructions.

First, pour sugar, corn syrup, and water into a pot, heat over medium heat, and stir continuously.

Once it’s about ready, add the golden Honey brewed by the Combees.

The final step is to pour the candy into molds to cool.

Soon, crystal-clear candies, amber-colored, appeared in front of Naoki.

[Honey Candy (C): Candy made with honey, full of the scent of honey.

Cooking Effect: Bear Attraction lv1, when placed in the wild, it easily attracts Bear-type Pokemon, and when fed to Bear-type Pokemon, significantly increases their friendliness.

Rating: Honey-flavored candy, much loved by Bear-type Pokemon.]

Naoki: "..."

Not Rare Candy?

Naoki immediately felt a wave of disappointment.

There aren’t many Bear-type Pokemon, besides Teddiursa and its evolution Ursaring, only Cubchoo, Beartic, Stufful, Bewear, Ursaluna, Kubfu, and the two forms of Urshifu remain.

But then, does Pancham count as a Bear-type Pokemon?

There doesn’t seem to be Pancham in the Paldea Region.

Seeing that it wasn’t the Rare Candy he wanted, Naoki casually fed these Honey Candies to Alcremie, Ogerpon, and other pokemon that liked sweets.

"A Rare Candy should contain a large amount of energy." Naoki murmured.

But the question is, what kind of energy should that be?

Can the energy from a Pokemon’s body work?

After a brief thought, Naoki decided to give it a try.

He called for his sister Indeedee and asked it to infuse Psychic Type energy into the unformed syrup.

"Aiyii?"

Although Indeedee was a bit confused, it obediently complied.

As soon as that energy entered the bowl, there was an explosion, scattering sugar and corn syrup everywhere.

Naoki: "..."

"Aiyii!" Indeedee was startled.

It quickly grabbed a cloth to clean up the mess around them.

Naoki crouched down to help, and soon, the kitchen was back to normal, save for a lost bowl.

"Does Pokemon energy not work?" Naoki continued to ponder: "What about something filled with energy?"

Speaking of energetic things, the first thing Naoki thought of was the Tree of Beginning Leaf.

He had once used a Tree of Beginning Leaf to create a Leaf Cake, which significantly boosted Gogoat, Calyrex, and Arboliva.

Calyrex said those leaves contained very rich Natural Energy.

Thinking of this, Naoki went to the Reversed World and picked a leaf bigger than his own height.

After returning to the kitchen, Naoki used a knife to cut it in half and gave the other unused half to the Gogoats to eat.

Then, Naoki mashed the leaf with a machine, filtered out the juice, and mixed it into the pre-prepared syrup.

For the final step, he boiled it in a pot, then poured it into molds to cool and set.

Once everything was completed, a dark green candy appeared in front of Naoki.

[World Tree Candy (A+): Candy made from a Tree of Beginning Leaf filled with rich Natural Energy.

Cooking Effect: Nature Power lv3, significantly enhances Grass Type Pokemon’s control over Grass Type Energy, allowing them to better cultivate plants. This effect is only effective for Grass Type Pokemon and can only be consumed once.

Rating: A magical candy, somehow connected with nature!]

Naoki: "..."

It seems he is not destined to have Rare Candy.

However, a candy that enhances a Pokemon’s energy control is, in some sense, equivalent to Rare Candy.

Because the more proficient a Pokemon is with energy control, the faster it can progress, even improving attack speed and power.

In conclusion, not bad at all.

Naoki then fed it to Leafeon, Ogerpon, Gogoat, Calyrex, Tropius, and Arboliva.

These were all the Grass Type Pokemon in the pasture.

Besides them, Naoki also reserved three World Tree Candies to give as welcome gifts to the three Treecko who had left their hometown and settled at the World Tree.

After dinner, it was time to sleep.

Naoki originally planned to continue sleeping with the Eevees on the bed, but after evolving, they changed their temperament and habits.

Instead of the room, Vaporeon preferred a place with clear water sources, so it left Naoki early to sleep in a pond on the farm.

Similarly, the evolved Leafeon ran to a lush grassy area, using it as its bed.

Though he was the one who let the two Eevees sleep where they liked, Naoki still felt a strange sadness at their departure.
