Chapter 5 Yoona: Lee Ji-hyung-ssi, please leave.
Chapter 5 Yoona: Lee Ji-hyung-ssi, please leave.
Jessica seems to possess a natural magic; no matter how lively the occasion, the moment she opens her mouth, the atmosphere instantly plummets to freezing point.
This is historically known as the Sika effect.
At this moment, this magic has come true once again.
The once noisy waiting room became so quiet you could hear a pin drop after Jessica's sudden question.
All eyes turned to her.
Pani blinked, her gaze shifting back and forth between the two.
What's going on? Jessica knows Li Zhixing too?
Before anyone could figure it out, Jessica had already thrown off the blanket and stood up.
She walked straight up to Li Zhixing and crossed her arms.
Despite her height disadvantage, she slightly raised her chin, managing to strike a menacing pose.
"Hey, why didn't you tell me you were coming?"
Faced with this blunt question, Li Zhixing simply pursed his lips and leaned back, saying, "Don't flatter yourself. I didn't come here to see you."
Lee Soon-kyu, standing to the side, looked at this one, then at that one, her brain completely blank: "Wait... you two know each other?"
"I don't know him."
"Never seen it before."
The two of them blurted out the same sentence in unison.
As soon as they finished speaking, the two turned their heads at the same time, glaring at each other with displeasure.
"Hey! Li Zhixing, you're saying you don't recognize me?"
Enraged, Jessica kicked him.
Li Zhixing skillfully dodged to the side and casually slapped her calf away.
"Didn't you also say you'd never seen me before?"
Lee Soon-kyu was dumbfounded: "Ji-haeng oppa, what are you guys doing...?"
Jessica noticed the nickname and frowned.
"Oppa?"
Jessica immediately turned to look at Lee Soon-kyu, "When...did you two meet?"
Lee Soon-kyu replied, completely bewildered, "It was early last year, when I went to order..."
Before she could even finish speaking, Jessica exploded.
"Hey! Li Zhixing!"
She whirled around, glaring at the man in front of her. "You've known each other for so long, and you've never even mentioned it to me?"
"Why should I tell you? Do I have to report everything to you?"
Li Zhixing stood up speechlessly, put his hands on Jessica's shoulders, and turned her halfway around to face the dining table.
Then, like pushing a child, he gently pushed her back forward.
"Alright, go eat your food and don't disturb my conversation with my idol."
Jessica immediately understood who this "idol" referred to.
She glanced at Kim Tae-yeon, who was looking at her with wide curiosity, opened her mouth as if to say something, but ultimately swallowed it back.
"Li Zhixing, you must give me an explanation for what happened today!"
After angrily uttering those words, Jessica actually walked to the other table.
The waiting room fell silent.
The room was full of Girls' Generation members. Looking at Jessica, who was sulking alone, and then at Lee Ji-hsing, who looked perfectly normal, everyone was filled with question marks.
Lee Ji-haeng sat back down next to Lee Soon-kyu.
Meeting their questioning gazes, he gave the answer directly.
"We know each other, we're quite close, but we don't have a good relationship."
"snort!"
No sooner had she finished speaking than Jessica let out a heavy, cold snort from not far away.
She glared at Li Zhixing while picking up a mouthful of food with her chopsticks and shoving it directly into her mouth.
Li Zhixing caught a glimpse of it out of the corner of his eye and his expression instantly changed: "Hey! Don't eat that!"
Jessica, who was in a fit of anger, wouldn't listen to anything.
She thought Li Zhixing was deliberately going against her again, so instead of stopping, she quickly grabbed a few more bites and stuffed them into her mouth.
She chewed vigorously, shaking her head defiantly: "I'll eat it, I'll eat it, so what?"
The members at the table stared at her in horror.
Pani swallowed hard and asked cautiously, "Jessica... when did you start eating cucumbers?"
"What?"
Jessica paused for a moment, her eyes looking somewhat confused.
Then she noticed the unique, slightly astringent cucumber juice in her mouth.
Immediately afterwards, her facial features contorted violently.
"vomit......"
With tears in her eyes, Jessica glared at Li Zhixing, then covered her mouth and rushed out of the waiting room.
"Pabu."
Li Zhixing watched her run away, shaking his head with a mixture of amusement and exasperation.
The remaining members of Girls' Generation in the waiting room stared at him with cold eyes.
Li Zhixing explained helplessly, "I used to work part-time as a sparring partner at the boxing gym owned by Sika's family, so I've known her for a long time."
Everyone suddenly realized.
Choi Soo-young narrowed her eyes, somewhat suspicious: "Is it really that simple?"
Lee Soon-kyu was somewhat amused and exasperated: "Ji-hsing oppa, just how many part-time jobs have you done? Aren't you really planning to find a stable, long-term career?"
She paused, then asked, "And why have you never mentioned knowing Jessica?"
"What am I supposed to say?" Li Zhixing retorted confidently. "Am I supposed to tell you that I know Jessica from your group, but we have a bad relationship?"
"If I said that, would you still order food from our restaurant?"
This blunt truth left everyone speechless.
Just then, a lively voice came from outside the door that had been opened because Jessica had run out.
"What's wrong with Jessica? Why are you running so fast?"
The two maknaes of Girls' Generation, who hadn't made an appearance until now, have finally shown up.
Yoona crossed her arms and affectionately wrapped her arms around Seohyun's neck as the two walked into the waiting room one after the other.
Before anyone could respond, Yoona spotted the takeout on the table and exclaimed dramatically.
"Unnie, you guys are so mean! You didn't even invite me to eat? Sooyoung unnie, you must have been the one who stole some food first, right?"
As she spoke, she impatiently broke apart her chopsticks and reached directly for the sweet and sour pork.
Seohyun, on the other hand, wasn't in such a hurry.
She obediently turned around and closed the door before walking to the dining table.
As she turned around, her gaze casually swept across the corner of the waiting room, but her steps suddenly stopped.
He froze on the spot.
Seohyun stared at Lee Ji-hyung with an expression of disbelief, her voice even stammering.
"S-senpai? What are you doing here? Didn't you go abroad?"
Looking at the exaggerated expression on the face of the youngest member of Girls' Generation in front of him, Li Zhixing pointed to himself for no apparent reason.
"Senior? Are you calling me?"
"How does Seohyun know I've been abroad? Wait, how do you know me?"
He was a little puzzled. Although his going abroad to film was not a secret, it shouldn't have reached Girls' Generation's ears.
Did Sika tell her?
Faced with Li Zhixing's question, Xu Xian was a little confused.
"Huh? Of course I know you, senior! I'm Seohyun!"
What's wrong with Seohyun again? Do all the Girls' Generation members always look so familiar?
He glanced at Kwon Yuri instinctively, then his expression changed to one of sudden realization.
"Did you run into me by chance with Yuri-xi back then?"
"Huh? Yuri unnie?" Seohyun was completely dumbfounded. What did she have to do with Yuri unnie?
She had so many questions she wanted to ask the person in front of her, but for a moment she didn't know where to begin, so she looked towards the dining table for help.
"Yoona unnie, senior, he..."
Actually, when Seohyun exclaimed "Senior," Yoona had already turned her gaze over.
The moment she saw Li Zhixing clearly, the shock on her face was no less than that of Xu Xian.
But amidst the shock, Yoona's eyes instantly welled up with deep grievance and an overwhelming surge of emotion.
She completely forgot about the sweet and sour pork and walked excitedly toward Li Zhi.
Lee Soon-kyu, she's going crazy.
She originally just wanted to introduce her delivery driver friend to the members.
And what happened? Half of the group actually knew him!
First, they said Kwon Yuri looked "familiar".
Next up is Jessica, whose relationship with her is "extremely bad".
Now even their own maknae (youngest member) acts like he's seen a ghost when he sees him.
Seeing the atmosphere getting increasingly awkward, Lee Soon-kyu quickly jumped off the sofa and braced herself to break the deadlock.
"Yoona, come here, let me introduce you. This is my friend, Lee Ji-haeng oppa."
Li Zhixing also stood up and looked at the visual of Girls' Generation, nodding politely.
"Hello Yoona-ssi, nice to meet you. Please take care of me."
Yoona was initially very excited, as she had many things she wanted to say to the person she had been longing for.
But Li Zhixing's polite yet distant words instantly shattered all her expectations.
She stopped in front of Li Zhixing, her face slightly pale, and asked incredulously:
"Xi? Nice to meet you?"
Li Zhixing frowned slightly.
"Isn't that right? Yoona-ssi, we haven't met before, have we?"
He touched his face and muttered to himself.
Am I really that common? Why does everyone look like they've seen me before?
Looking at Li Zhixing's expressionless eyes, as if he were looking at a stranger, Yoona seemed to "understand" what he meant.
Suddenly, the cold and heartless words spoken by the person in front of me when we parted years ago flashed through my mind.
She bit her lower lip hard, her eyes dimmed instantly, and she lowered her gaze.
A moment later, she suddenly laughed self-deprecatingly.
"Li Zhixing, your acting... is really good!"
"Huh?" Li Zhixing was a little surprised. "How did Yoona-ssi know I was an actress...?"
Before he could even finish the word "member," Yoona coldly interrupted him.
"What brings Li Zhixing here today?"
Li Zhixing narrowed his eyes, somewhat puzzled as to why the beautiful young woman in front of him had suddenly become so cold.
"I came here today mainly to see Sun-kyu."
Yoona's gaze quickly swept over Lee Soon-kyu beside her.
Although I don't know how they met, it doesn't seem to matter anymore.
"So, has Li Zhixing finished reading it now?"
Lee Ji-haeng noticed that Lim Yoon-a's gaze was growing colder.
Although he had no idea what he had done to offend her, he nodded nonetheless.
"That's about it."
Then, Yoona took a deep breath, pointed towards the door, and said, word by word:
"In that case... please leave."
