Chapter 67 Yoona: Jessica unnie, shall we start a war?
Jessica gently pushed open the door to Taeyeon's room.
She was still holding back the anger she felt from being upset by Li Zhixing, but when she saw Taeyeon lying on the bed, she subconsciously lowered her voice.
"Taeyeon, Lee Ji-hyung is looking for you."
Taeyeon paused for a moment, then sat up somewhat dazedly.
"Are you looking for me?"
She took the phone from Jessica and said something with a slightly nasal tone.
"Zhi Xing Oppa?"
Upon hearing this address, Jessica's eyebrows twitched.
When did Taeyeon start calling that guy "oppa" too?
Was it during that song recording?
Sure enough, she should have gone with them back then.
Taeyeon and Lee Ji-hyung exchanged a few words and then quickly hung up the phone.
She paused for a moment, holding her phone, and her previously downcast eyes seemed to regain some spirit.
Then, she jumped out of bed, grabbed a hooded jacket and put it on, not even bothering to zip it up properly, before heading out.
Jessica stopped her, somewhat puzzled.
"Where are you going? It's so late."
Taeyeon answered softly.
"Zhi Xing Oppa is waiting for me downstairs. I'm going to see him."
"What?"
Jessica suddenly raised her voice.
"This guy actually came to your dorm looking for you?"
She stared intently at Taeyeon.
"Why did he come to see you?"
Taeyeon shook her head, also somewhat puzzled.
"I don't know, Jessica, I'm going downstairs now."
After saying that, she hurriedly left the dormitory.
Jessica was left standing there, pouting in dissatisfaction.
When did they all become so familiar with that guy?
She looked in the direction Taeyeon had left, and a strange urge to follow her welled up inside her.
Just then, a light, cheerful voice rang out from behind.
"Jessica Unnie".
Then, Jessica's shoulder was put around from behind.
"What are you doing? Huh, where did Taeyeon unnie go?"
It's Lim Yoon-a, who just finished ordering food with Choi Soo-young.
With a playful smile on her face, Lim Yoona leaned closer to Jessica.
For some reason, Yoona has been clinging to Jessica these past few days, constantly coming up to her to chat about various topics and acting cute.
Jessica said casually.
"Taeyeon was called downstairs by Lee Ji-hyun."
"Um?"
Yoona's eyes lit up.
"Oppa's here?"
As she spoke, she turned to walk out, looking as if she was also planning to go out.
Jessica finally realized what was happening and pulled her back.
"Oh, it's Im Yoon-a."
Jessica stared at her.
"What did you just call out?"
Yoona blinked.
Jessica continued to stare at her.
"Oppa? Your name is Lee Ji-haeng Oppa?"
She knew how much Yoona had previously disliked Lee Ji-hyeong.
When did Yoona start calling that guy "oppa"?
Yoona paused for a moment, then gave an awkward smile.
"Unnie, I just blurted it out without thinking."
"wrong!"
Jessica held onto her, not letting her leave.
"You, and Taeyeon, why have you been acting so strange lately?"
"Why are they all calling each other 'Oppa'?"
"And what were you all laughing at around Lee Ji-hsing for that day, the day Soo-jung debuted?"
"Hey, are you guys hiding something from me?"
Jessica was once again experiencing the same feeling of being "isolated" at home that she had felt before.
Yoona blinked her doe eyes innocently.
"Jessica unnie, actually, it was because a man suddenly appeared next to you that I was on guard."
"I was worried that my unnie would be deceived, so I was a little rude to my oppa."
"Later I realized that I had misunderstood."
"So you don't hate it anymore now."
Jessica frowned in confusion.
"Is that all?"
"Of course."
Yoona nodded seriously.
"Would I lie to my unnie?"
Looking at Yoona's confident expression, Jessica felt that something was off.
Seeing that she didn't seem to have any intention of asking any more questions, Yoona quietly moved towards the door again.
Jessica grabbed her arm.
"Even so, you don't need to come down with me, do you?"
Yoona immediately frowned and her tone softened.
"I'm worried about Taeyeon unnie, I want to go down and check on her."
"What are you looking at?"
Jessica said irritably.
"What else can Li Zhixing do to her? She should just stay put."
Yoona pouted.
"Jessica unnie, do you want to start a war between us right now?"
Jessica was a little confused, but that didn't stop her from instantly getting angry.
"Hey, Yoona, you're being cheeky again, aren't you?"
Yoona immediately shrank back.
"Ah, Jessica unnie, I was wrong!"
……
After Taeyeon went downstairs, she went around to a secluded corner near the dormitory.
At this time, there are hardly any people to be seen nearby.
She quickly found Li Zhixing.
Under the dim streetlights, Li Zhixing was sitting on a bench by the roadside.
He was wearing a black baseball cap, a white T-shirt, and black pants—the same outfit he wore when they first met.
Seeing Taeyeon approach, Lee Ji-hyeong smiled and waved to her.
"Taeyeon, come and sit down."
Taeyeon jogged over a few steps and slowly sat down next to Lee Ji-hyung.
She was wearing a loose hooded jacket, with the hood pulled up over her head, making her look even smaller than usual.
Taeyeon tilted her head and looked at Lee Ji-hyun.
"Zhixing Oppa, why did you call me here...?"
There was a hint of expectation and happiness in her eyes as she looked at Li Zhixing.
But more than anything, there was despondency and helplessness.
Li Zhixing was somewhat surprised.
It seems that this incident has hit Taeyeon harder than he expected.
However, he first explained why he had come tonight.
"I'm here on behalf of the IRIS production team to discuss some things with you."
The hint of happiness in Taeyeon's eyes slowly disappeared.
She lowered her head again, and her voice became muffled.
"Does this mean I can't sing that song anymore?"
"Won't my current state affect the film crew?"
Li Zhixing looked at her and softened his tone.
"Don't think the worst right away, Taeyeon."
"I came here to give you the choice."
"choose?"
Taeyeon turned her head and looked over.
"What choice?"
Li Zhixing smiled and continued.
"If you don't want to continue singing 'Don't Forget', that's fine too."
"I'll talk to Representative Zheng and ask the production team to find another singer."
"I……"
Taeyeon suddenly raised her head, her voice becoming more urgent.
"I want to sing!"
"I really like this song."
But after she spoke, her voice gradually lowered.
"But what if it affects you..."
"This isn't something you should be worrying about all by yourself."
Li Zhixing looked at her.
"Since you still want to continue singing, there are other options."
Taeyeon looked at him quietly.
Li Zhixing continued.
"The first option is to let it cool down."
"The promotion surrounding this song has been temporarily suspended, and the production team will temporarily switch to promoting another OST."
"The official announcement of 'Don't Forget' will be made by the production team after the public opinion surrounding it has subsided."
"However, there will be no large-scale promotion at that time; it will only be recorded as a regular OST."
