Chapter 58 The Cowgirl of the Capital
Chapter 58 The Cowgirl of the Capital
Song Yuqi pulled down her mask, folded it twice, and stuffed it into her coat pocket, revealing her entire face.
She turned to the side, one leg still crossed on the seat, facing Liu Zimu.
His sitting posture was as relaxed as if he were sitting on his own kang (heated brick bed).
"My name is Song Yuqi. What's your name?"
Liu Zimu smiled and said, "My name is Liu Zimu. I know you, you're an idol."
"So it seems we do have some fame. Actually, I've always wanted to ask, what do you do?" she said, sounding pleased.
Liu Zimu followed suit, pushing the armrest up and shrinking into the seat: "I own a coffee shop."
"I know you own a coffee shop, and I saw the 'GG' on your clothes—I meant other identities. Oh! I just wanted to know, are you and ROSÉ senior quite familiar with each other?" She asked, her face full of curiosity.
Liu Zimu glanced at her.
This girl speaks frankly and doesn't care much about her image.
She had already become quite familiar with me after only a short time meeting me.
Why are you asking this?
Song Yuqi readily admitted: "Your interaction with senior ROSÉ was so obvious, and that hoodie was so eye-catching, it was hard not to remember it."
Liu Zimu sighed: "That was an accident."
"What kind of unexpected event could make her make a heart shape with her hands for you?" she asked bluntly.
Liu Zimu choked for a moment.
He looked at Song Yuqi's inquisitive face and smiled: "I do know her, but we're just ordinary friends."
"Can ordinary friends do that?" She raised her eyebrows, her face clearly showing disbelief.
"We're really just friends. I have a girlfriend."
Song Yuqi's expression changed from curiosity to excitement, as if she was about to hear some juicy gossip.
He leaned forward and lowered his voice: "Your girlfriend isn't ROSÉ, is she? Bro, tell me more. Don't worry, I'll keep it a secret."
She told herself a complete love story in her mind, her expression changing repeatedly; it was quite a dramatic scene.
"It wasn't her."
"Huh? It's not ROSÉ-senpai?" Her inner monologue shattered instantly.
"no."
"Really?" Song Yuqi nodded, but her expression clearly showed that she had already made her own judgment.
Although she and Park Chaeyoung hadn't reached the point of calling each other "unnie," she still knew a bit about Park Chaeyoung.
So she was somewhat skeptical.
You know how enthusiastically Park Chaeyoung interacts with people at concerts; she and Minnie were incredibly excited at the time.
Just then, a flight attendant pushed a beverage cart over, and Song Yuqi ordered a Coke, which she then brought over and began to drink.
Liu Zimu looked at her, smiled, and didn't want to talk any further.
"Brother," Song Yuqi put down her cup, "what's the name of your coffee shop again? I don't remember."
"Shiguang Coffee"
"What do you mean?"
"It's just picking up fragments of time, nothing too special." Liu Zimu didn't want to explain too much.
Song Yuqi said "Oh," and took another sip of cola, the ice cubes making a clattering sound.
"So what are you doing back in China this time?"
"Go home and visit."
Where are you from?
"A small county in Sichuan, the hot pot is quite delicious."
Her eyes lit up again: "Hot pot? The hot pot there is much better than the one in Seoul. The hot pot in Seoul isn't that interesting."
Looking at her gossipy expression, Liu Zimu thought, "This girl is really something else."
"Are you going back alone?" Song Yuqi asked again.
"Didn't you see it? Otherwise, would you be my neighbor?"
"Tch! Isn't your girlfriend coming along?"
Liu Zimu glanced at her.
This girl really wants to know everything, it's quite cute.
I don't know if she's genuinely heartless or just pretending.
"She has a schedule...she has something to do!"
"Schedule?" Song Yuqi repeated the word, then suddenly sat up. "Schedule? Who has a schedule besides celebrities? Brother Liu, you're not being honest! Tell me honestly, when did you and senior ROSÉ start dating?"
Seeing her gossipy expression, Liu Zimu shook his head: "It really wasn't her."
Song Yuqi pouted: "You're so boring! I'm an artist too, I'll keep it a secret."
After she finished speaking, she took another sip of cola; the ice had melted a bit.
Liu Zimu didn't want to talk about this anymore, so he asked her, "What about you? Why did you come back to China alone? Aren't you busy with group activities?"
"I'm busy, but I miss home." She swirled her glass. "I'll take advantage of my break to go back home for a couple of days, see my parents, and have some hot pot."
A girl from Beijing, when she misses home, craves hot pot with mutton.
Liu Zimu couldn't help but smile at her matter-of-fact attitude.
"What are you laughing at?"
"I wasn't laughing at anything, I just thought you were quite interesting."
"What's so interesting about me?"
"That's right," Liu Zimu thought for a moment, "your personality is just like the one I remember."
Upon hearing this, Song Yuqi chuckled and laughed out loud: "I've only been in the industry for a short time, and I'm already just like you imagine? You're not a fan of mine, are you? Want an autograph?"
"No!" Liu Zimu was very straightforward.
Song Yuqi choked for a moment: "Your personality is just like mine, so straightforward! If it's not, it's not. Let me tell you, I've had this personality since I was little, and I can't change it. My mom says I'm prone to offending people and tells me to be careful in Peninsula. But I just can't help it; when those seniors are too polite to me, it makes me uncomfortable."
The two chatted for a few more minutes about random things.
She talked about her trainee life in Seoul, the nervousness she felt when she first debuted, and how she cried her eyes out when she was recognized.
As Liu Zimu listened, she realized that everything she said was information that could be found online, so it seemed that she wasn't as carefree as she appeared.
He nodded occasionally, and asked a question occasionally.
Song Yuqi speaks quickly, like a machine gun, jumping from one topic to the next before finishing the previous one.
After getting off the plane, Song Yuqi followed behind Liu Zimu.
She suddenly spoke again: "Brother Liu, you're going back to the peninsula, right?"
"Yes, I want it!"
"So, what exactly is your relationship with Rosé-senpai?"
Liu Zimu looked into her eyes, those big eyes held no malicious gossip, only a pure desire to know the answer.
"Just friends? You've asked that several times already."
"Looks like you don't want to admit it," Song Yuqi said helplessly, then took out her phone from her pocket. "Then let's add each other as friends. When fellow countrymen meet, tears well up in their eyes."
She handed me her phone; the screen displayed a QR code for adding someone as a WeChat friend.
Liu Zimu looked at her; this girl's operating speed was faster than anyone he had ever seen.
"Why do you want me as a friend?"
"I'm curious." She waved her phone. "Your fellow townsman is so interesting. She owns a coffee shop, works as an assistant at SM Entertainment, cooks on set, and even dates Rosé. The most important thing is that you seem to look down on her. If I were her, I would be furious with that look of disgust on your face at the concert."
By the end, she was laughing, a bright and cheerful laugh.
Liu Zimu was a little confused by what she said.
He didn't touch his phone.
Song Yuqi wasn't in a hurry; she just held it up and looked at him with a grin.
"Add one more, please come to our concert next time."
Liu Ziming thought for a moment, noticing that people around him were curiously looking at him, and then he took out his phone and scanned the QR code.
Song Yuqi immediately looked down and started working, then sent over her Kakao account as well, after adding her as a friend.
"Add me on Kakao too, I use both. You can ask me to join you for meals when you're free."
Liu Zimu watched her typing away on her phone and thought that this girl had a very energetic and efficient way of doing things.
"Alright." She put away her phone and smiled with satisfaction. "From now on, you're my friend. You can contact me if you need anything, or if you don't."
Liu Zimu nodded, not paying too much attention.
"Finally back," she said softly, her voice tinged with emotion.
Meanwhile in Seoul, Park Chae-young looked at the candid photos Song Yu-qi had sent her and poked Liu Zi-mu's profile in the photos with her finger.
They were laughing very happily.
