Chapter 1015 - 969: Beauty Stops a Car
Chapter 1015 - 969: Beauty Stops a Car
After watching the sunrise, they descended the mountain.
Sienna Johnson was exhausted. She thought that after coming down the mountain, she could take a car back to the hotel, soak in a bath, have breakfast, and sleep beautifully.
As it turned out, life is unpredictable.
Look at this, the car they parked at the foot of the mountain had its four tires removed and the glass broken. Adrian Desmond’s wallet, camera, and such were stolen from inside.
"Which bastard did this?" Adrian said angrily.
Sienna was much calmer than Adrian, "Forget about it, let’s think about how we’re going to get back."
"Damn it!" Adrian kicked the completely ruined car.
This place is so remote that usually no one comes here. They drove for half an hour to get here, and on the way, they only saw three cars go by. You could describe this area as "desolate."
"We can only walk back," Adrian said.
Sienna twitched at the corners of her mouth and said, "If you hadn’t bothered me last night, I wouldn’t mind walking, but now I don’t have the strength. Besides, it’s such a long road; I can’t walk back."
"Come on, I’ll carry you."
Adrian had a big hiking backpack on his back, and Sienna wondered how he would carry her.
Adrian took off the backpack and simply threw it down, squatted down, and said, "Get on."
"What about the backpack?"
"Of course, we leave it. Can’t you see I can’t carry it?"
Sienna stood there, unmoving, and asked, "What’s your speed carrying me?"
"10 kilometers per hour, no big deal."
"When we came, your car speed was about 120 kilometers per hour. We drove here for about half an hour, meaning from the nearest town to here is roughly 60 kilometers. You walk 10 kilometers per hour, which means if you carry me to a populated area, we’d have to walk for six hours..."
Sienna calculated for Adrian, and Adrian looked at Sienna, also realizing that carrying her for six hours was unrealistic. No matter how strong he was, he wasn’t a superhero.
"Can you carry me for six hours?" Sienna asked.
"Nope."
"Then why don’t you pick up the backpack? If we really can’t walk any further, we’ll find a place to camp, otherwise, we won’t even have a tent to sleep in tonight."
Adrian glanced at the damaged car, now missing four wheels, making it impossible to drive.
Adrian gritted his teeth and said, "If I find out who did this, I’ll make sure to finish them!"
"You can think about that once we get back to the hotel."
Adrian picked up the backpack from the ground, put it on again, and set out. Sienna walked slowly ahead, her long legs incredibly enticing.
No matter how enticing, Adrian wasn’t in the mood for any nonsense. They still needed to save their strength to get back.
The two walked one in front and one behind for half an hour, Sienna growing slower as they went. By this time, the sun was already up, hanging overhead, baking them.
Adrian slowed his pace, but Sienna’s stamina was too poor. As they walked, Sienna lagged far behind.
"Let’s take a break," Adrian suggested, walking back to the panting Sienna.
"I can’t stop; if I stop, I won’t be able to move," Sienna said, hands on her hips.
Adrian took a bottle of water from his backpack and handed it to Sienna, "Drink it slowly, or it’ll be too much for your body."
"Okay."
A car roared past on the highway, and Sienna excitedly waved, but the car didn’t stop.
Watching the car disappear from sight, Sienna felt as disappointed as her previous joy.
"Weren’t foreigners supposed to be warm-hearted? Why don’t they want to give us a ride?" Sienna complained.
"Let’s go."
"Adrian, I feel so pitiful."
"When we get back, I’ll treat you to a great meal and give you an oil massage, okay?" Adrian consoled her.
Sienna mumbled, "I’ve been so unlucky since I was little... from birth, I’ve been unlucky... and even now, things still haven’t turned around.
I finally got a chance to travel abroad, to the Apavian Sea no less, why can’t things just go smoothly?"
"It’s my fault, I didn’t expect the security here to be so poor."
Sienna’s legs felt like they were filled with lead; she couldn’t take another step. She leaned against a tree to rest.
"Adrian, I can’t move anymore. I’ll wait here for you; you go back by yourself, then come back to find me."
Adrian looked at the desolate surroundings, then at Sienna, tempting for any man to commit a crime, and decisively shook his head, "No way! What if something happens to you here alone?"
"Then what do you suggest?"
"Let’s try to hitch a ride."
Sienna couldn’t even manage a single step anymore, so all their hopes lay in hitching a ride.
Sienna sat under the tree, drinking water and eating bread, while Adrian stood under the hot sun, waiting for an occasional car to pass by.
Sienna counted; a total of five cars went by, and none stopped. Foreigners were really too unfriendly.
"Adrian, come rest. I’ll try to flag down a car."
"It’s too hot, stay there."
Sienna came over, handing him the remaining half bottle of water, "Drink, or you’ll get heatstroke."
There was only one bottle of water left, and Adrian hadn’t taken a sip.
"You keep it, I can handle it."
"Drink it, if you pass out, I can’t drag you."
Realizing she was right, Adrian took the bottle, only sipping twice to moisten his throat, then saved the rest for Sienna.
There was plenty of water around, but it wasn’t sterilized or purified, so they dared not drink it carelessly. In such a godforsaken place, if they caught malaria, it could cost them their lives.
"What are you taking off your clothes for?"
Sienna was wearing a swimsuit underneath. Their plan was to swim in the Apavian Sea after coming down from the temple, but... the unexpected happened.
The voluptuous figure wrapped in a bright Chinese red bikini, the rounded shapes encased in red lacy swimwear, and the deep cleavage almost made Adrian’s nose bleed.
And it wasn’t over yet. Sienna removed her skirt, revealing sexy red triangle bikini bottoms, making Adrian’s face turn black.
"Put that on!" Adrian ordered.
"Adrian, face reality. The only way we’re getting back to the hotel is by me using my charm."
"I’m ordering you to put your clothes back on!"
Ignoring Adrian, Sienna picked up a white scarf, folded it into a triangle, and tied it around her waist. She untied her hair, ran her fingers through it to make it fluffy.
She turned back, giving Adrian a flirtatious smile, "I refuse to believe I can’t flag down a ride."
"Sienna Johnson, I order you to put your clothes on!" Adrian said, lips tight, gazing at Sienna with dangerous eyes.
"I’m wearing a swimsuit; anyway, when I get to the beach, this is how I’ll be dressed, and people will look all the same."
